All We Have Is Now

All we have is now.

Take a deep breath.

Inhale… exhale.

Now think about a time in your childhood. A time you felt nothing but happiness. Before the business of the world overwhelmed your mind. A time where you woke up and you had no idea what the day had in store, but you knew it was going to be a good one.

Breakfast with your siblings. Sitting with your grandma. Drinking coffee, even though you were way too young to have any. Running around outside, letting your imagination thrive. It’s lunch time, your cheeks flushed red from playing. Your mom calls the house line, telling you she’s on her way to pick you up. You try to squeeze in more playtime. Grandpa is home, you get to overhear him talk about his day. Running around the front yard. Looking up, the sky is turning orange and purple.

You hear your name being called as the streetlights flicker on. That quiet signal that the day is coming to an end. You don’t want it to. You never do.

You walk inside, a little slower than usual, trying to hold onto the last few seconds of sunlight. Dinner is waiting. Laughter fills the room in between bites. You don’t realize it then, but these are the moments that stay with you. The ones that shape you. The ones that find their way back when you need them most.

No pressure. No overthinking. Just being.

And maybe, that feeling isn’t as far away as it seems.

Maybe it lives in the quiet pauses we forget to take.

In the deep breaths we rush through.
In the simple moments we overlook, chasing something bigger.

All we have is now.

This breath. This second. The people surrounding us. This version of you.
And again, inhale… exhale.

And remember… you’ve felt peace before.
You can feel it again.

Be present in the now.
It’s all we have.
